Yesterday, someone told me the price of petrol in Zambia was the highest in the world (according to some trustworthy source no one could remember, obvs).
Just calculated it out though based on the filling station closest to my office (all gas stations here sell fuel for the same price - regulated by government), and it comes to around USD$10.25 per gallon. Diesel slightly cheaper at around USD$8 per gallon.
GAH. Probably could have spent the day being perfectly happy not knowing that. Americans shouldn't complain about fuel prices.
