What Colman cooked (ongoing list)

Got woken up at 9am by Kate (Zambia country director - my boss) calling me to deliver a message to Colman about their meeting later today.

While it could have been annoying that it was (a) mildly embarrassing to talk on the phone with my boss when having clearly been woken up and (b) 9am on a Saturday morning, realized the house smelled AMAZING (again!) and that Colman had cooked honey-glazed french toast, cut into this appetizer-sized strips to "tide me over" while we then made a giant peri-peri omelette. Wish I'd taken a photo, but we ate it all in about 10 minutes.

The tally so far:
  • Fresh basil-celery leaf pesto
  • Roast garlic chicken in a beer-brandy marinade
  • Honey-glazed french toast
  • Peri-peri omelette (cheddar, onions, garlic, mushrooms, bell pepper)
  • Roasted eggplant-bell pepper-tomato-peri-peri pasta sauce
  • Peri-peri marinated beef kebabs
  • 2 loaves Garlic-herb foccacia bread (made out of the garlic clove roasted in the middle of the chicken)
  • Peri-peri and caramel (separate) popcorn
  • Toasted roast chicken-foccacia bread sandwiches (trust me, they were fancy)
  • Onion rings
Clearly, peri-peri is the spice of the moment.
