News reporting record low turnout for the Zambian presidential elections. With the last time voter registration having taken place in 2006 (due to lack of funds), there were no younger voters who could participate in the election.

Prelim results from urban areas report that Sata is up, although rural areas which are counted later tend to support Banda. Also, rural areas are where the greatest rigging takes place, with dramatic overcounting of votes tipping the election results later in the game.

Already, at least 1 election officer in Lusaka was arrested for trying to insert pre-marked ballots for Banda in a voting box. At least he was caught - tomorrow will be the big news of who the new president is...
